Can Che

Located in the west area of the island, this villa was designed with a combination of traditional elements in a modern style, giving place to open spaces where the circulation becomes of big importance between indoors and outdoors, taking advantage of the west orientation towards the sea and the sunset, an important feature for the owner.

Combining these generous spaces and design, the alternation of privacy and transparency works perfectly for this site. Set into a slightly sloping terrain, the house is arranged primarily over a single level. The design takes advantage of the site’s magnificent natural setting.

The spaces are large and luxurious, combining local materials and construction techniques, responding to the architectural vernacular. The building is interspersed with a private courtyard and trees, offering natural shade, while protecting against the west sunlight. The facades are designed to promote natural ventilation, control solar gain and exploit the cooling properties of thermal mass and, for privacy, the exterior vegetation plays an important role.
