Villa in Roca Llisa
Located in Roca Llisa, Ibiza, this villa has been designed on a south-facing site with uninterrupted valley and sea views. The site has a big slope, having to distribute the house in several levels due to strict local planning regulations, adopting the solution of partially burying the house, whilst opening it completely to the south sea views.
Organised on three levels, the house opens out towards the south with living area, dining area and kitchen on the ground level with a large terrace and pool, locating the bedrooms on the first floor overlooking the second pool and views. The main living area is the family domain containing the book-lined hearth and an open kitchen on one side of the living space. The importance of the kitchen is reflected by it's own exterior access and directly connected to an outdoor dining space.
The sothern facade is mostly glazed, alternating transparent, white and stone, to vary the quality of light and privacy, using local and traditional textures in order to integrate the house to its surroundings.
The combination of inside and outside circulation enables the house to offer an exceptional degree of community, as well as respecting the privacy of the individuals.
